At the National Defence Academy (NDA), cadets are divided into different groups called squadrons. These squadrons are like family units where cadets live, learn, compete, and build strong friendships. Each squadron has its own identity, traditions, and motto. What is a Squadron in NDA?


A squadron is a division or group of cadets. It works like a home for the cadets during their 3-year training. Squadrons help build teamwork, leadership, and healthy competition among cadets.



How Many Squadrons Are There in NDA?


Currently, there are 18 squadrons in NDA, divided as follows:


15 Regular Squadrons


3 Additional Squadrons (added later to manage increasing intake of cadets)
